For the first time in Moldova, a theoretical and practical seminar on “Hydro-physical therapy for children with special needs” was organized. The event was carried out from May 30 till June 3 at Tony Hawks Center http://tonyhawkscentru.md/.
Courtesy of Ms Pamela Galloway, physical therapist and swimming coach in the UK (Bath Swim Therapy http://www.bathswimtherapy.org.uk/), 8 physiotherapists were trained to apply water power and new methodologies for rehabilitation and swimming practice, for infants and children suffering from neuromuscular diseases, cerebral palsy, autism, down syndrome etc..
Due to the high professionalism and dedication of Ms. Pamela Galloway, specialists from Tony Hawks Center have managed to acquire skills and technologies, both for rehabilitation and for the teaching swimming to children with special needs.
Sincere thanks for Dear Pamela!
We also wish to thank the volunteers who helped conduct this training successfully: Tinca Rusu, Jonah Raether and Alexandru Covalciuc.
